“You are not what you eat, but what you absorb’’

As humans, our bodies cannot recognise synthetic supplement pills as nutrition. This is because many vitamin and mineral supplements are manufactured synthetically with chemicals that do not come directly from their natural sources. They are made to mimic the way natural vitamins act in our bodies. This is why a lot of the time when we take vitamins we will notice our urine to be a brighter colour than usual.

This is because our bodies do not absorb the nutrition and remove this as waste. Our bodies do not advance like the world does, which is why natural foods have always been the best way to absorb nutrition. The more nutrients we absorb into our bodies, the healthier and more alert we can be.

With synthetic supplementation being a hot topic of conversation in the past couple of years, it is no surprise that the discussion of digestive enzymes is also being recognised.

What Are Digestive Enzymes, And Why Are They So Important?

When we eat food, our bodies do not absorb food, instead it absorbs the nutrients in the food. In our stomach, food has to be broken down from things like chicken and vegetables into its nutrient pieces such as amino acids, carbohydrates, vitamins and minerals. Digestive enzymes which are produced in our pancreas, stomach, saliva and small intestine help to break down our food into nutrients so that our bodies can absorb them. When we have limited amounts of digestive enzymes in our bodies, we can’t break down our food to absorb all the nutrition, even if we are eating well. Low amounts of digestive enzymes in our bodies can cause us to experience digestive problems of all kinds, usually with gas, pain and discomfort, leading to a weakened immune system.

Beauty Greens Powder – A Whole Foods Powder with Digestive Enzymes

Understanding that natural foods are the best way to absorb nutrition along with digestive enzymes, Vida Glow decided to create Beauty Greens to help us get a daily source of both food and enzyme.

Knowing that modern intensive agricultural methods are depleting foods from having a high nutritional profile, Beauty Greens contains an impressive list of certified ingredients to ensure we are getting essential vitamins, minerals, antioxidants, fibre and protein into our daily diet.

Beauty Greens contains five digestive enzymes that work to break down different food types to make sure we are getting nutrients from all categories  (clever right!)

  • Amylase for carbohydrate digestion
  • Protease for protein digestion
  • Lipase for digestion of fats and oils
  • Lactase for dairy product digestion
  • Cellulase for dietary fibre digestion

To obtain a good source of digestive enzymes and real whole foods, Beauty Greens should be taken daily as a food supplement. The more we can absorb nutrients into our bodies, the more we can see the benefits which include:

  • Clearer, Brighter Skin
  • Reduce Inflammation
  • Increased Energy
  • Stronger Immune System
  • Better Digestion
