What we are today comes from our thoughts of yesterday, and our present thoughts build our life of tomorrow: Our life is the creation of our mind.”  ~Buddha

While it is important that physical fitness and proper nutrition is being educated to us more than ever, other aspects of our health are widely overlooked. Our mental health is just as important if not , more important than our physical wellness.

A healthy mind is often ignored and is not seen as something that is important for day to day activities. However, with new studies coming in everyday about positive mindsets creating a better life for people it is easy to see why we need to have focused minds in order to have clarity, productivity and focus.

Having a healthy mind helps you to enjoy life and cope with things such as stress. It offers a feeling of well-being and inner strength. Just as you take care of your body by eating right and exercising, you can do things to have a healthy mind as well.

The power of our mind and being deliberate in using our minds as a tool for optimal health and wellbeing has made incredible progress. We are well aware of the power of positive thinking and how our thoughts have a direct effect on our mood and external circumstances. A healthy mind is one that is focused, has clarity, wakes up in the morning refreshed and ready for a productive day, one that sees the good in things, rather than turning on the autopilot of negativity.

A healthy mind can be practiced in many different ways for clarity and calm in your day. Once you start to practice  training your mind to to be healthy just as you would with your physical self , you will start to notice a difference in many aspects of your life.

A great way to start is by positive affirmations. Positive affirmations when said out loud everyday can help to train our brains to start the day focused and productive. When we practice being happy, we begin to the effects in our day to day life.

Why not practice saying these affirmations three times a day everyday for a positive day ahead.

I feed my spirit. I train my body. I focus my mind. It’s my time.

I am in charge of how I feel and today I am choosing happiness

My presence is my power.
